Summer Painting Holiday in Tuscany

For centuries artists have drawn their inspiration from the Tuscan landscape and it would be very difficult to find a better place in Italy to enjoy painting and improving your skills than at this enchanting old watermill.

Tuscan Hill Village

This will be Mike’s sixth painting course at the ‘Watermill at Posara’, a lovely secluded venue just one mile from the medieval town of Fizizzano with its quaint old houses, cafes, restaurants and shops. At the watermill you may relax in the gardens, enjoy peaceful riverside walks or just admire stunning views of the mountains in the background.

The courses run from Saturday to Saturday and the first day or so will be spent painting around the mill, followed during the week by excursions to the hills, olive groves, the medieval walls of Fivizzano and the castle and village of Verrucola. There will also be a train journey to visit the walled city of Lucca or the fishing villages of the Cinque Terre.

Like Mike, many guests return year after year to enjoy a very exciting and enjoyable ‘all inclusive week’ of painting, dining (delicious Italian food), wine and accommodation in very comfortable, spacious apartments within the mill buildings.
